Welcome!

I’m so excited to meet you!

I help adults, teens, and parents who feel frustrated by their ADHD find the forward motion to help them feel successful and confident.

Struggle Bus Coaching can help you move from endless overwhelm to manageable routines, from chaos to calm, and from “stuck” to “I’m doing this.”

My name is Kim Herman, PCC and I am the heart, brain, mom, and coach behind Struggle Bus Coaching.

My Story

Throughout my life I have resonated deeply with the struggle bus metaphor. Some days I am the driver and other days I am a passenger. Some days I have been pretty sure that the struggle bus is dragging me down the road.

I’ve lived the struggle personally, as I am raising ADHDers while navigating life with ADHD myself.

I know what it’s like to drop the ball, forget the important stuff, and feel like your brain has different wiring. I tried all the systems, planners, and tools. They have all been helpful, but on their own they did not stick in real and everyday kind of way.

That is where discovering coaching changed my world. Understanding my ADHD not only gave me permission to give myself some grace, but working with a coach enabled me to develop systems, discover ways to plan, and uncover tools that worked with my brain instead of against it. I was able to build new habits that opened new doors for me and my family.

So I created Struggle Bus Coaching to make ADHD coaching more accessible to those who struggled like me. With a strong foundation in coaching theory and my lived experience with real world strategies that helped me and my kids. I’ve been in the trenches, and I know what it takes to move forward when you brain says “stay.”

To me, forward motion isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress that feels possible. It’s about building momentum in a life that often feels like it’s stuck in park.

For ADHDers forward motion can look like:

  • Responding to an email that you’ve been avoiding

  • Starting the task that you’ve been ignoring for two weeks (and realizing that it took ten minutes)

  • Remembering the thing before you’re in the car, halfway to the wrong place

  • Sitting down to pay bills and actually finishing without five detours and a meltdown when you could not remember your password

  • Following through on what matters to you, and not just reacting to what’s urgent

  • Getting through bedtime without tears (yours or your kid’s)

  • Answering a text message before it becomes a whole shame spiral

  • Tackling the laundry, the dishes, or the clutter one doable step at a time

  • Having a day that doesn’t feel like an exhausting series of emergencies

It’s fewer days scrambling and more moments where life just works.

It’s not about “doing it all.” It’s about getting through your day without feeling like you’re failing at being at being a person.

That’s forward motion. And that is what we build together at Struggle Bus Coaching.
